Pros, Cons, and my 18th Birthday

Pros:

• This is the last week of classes
• I turn 18 on Tuesday 
• I have the best friends in the world
• I'm so going to see The Hobbit (:
• In less than 2 weeks I am flying home to see all my wonderful friends back home
• When I go home I get to go shopping. So excited.
• In a little over 2 weeks it will be Christmas
• After I finish writing the essay I'm procrastinating doing by making this post I will be done with almost all my homework for the semester. yay.
• I get to drive when I go home.

Cons:

• I have to actually write that essay.
• I have to actually do to classes this week.
• In 2 weeks I won't be able to see my wonderful friends for 2 weeks. Sad face.
• When I turn 18 I will be legally an adult. Boring.
• I did something weird to my ankle and it hurts...it's weird.

My Life...

So, know what really sucks?
Having your laptop die on you right before a huge research paper is due.
So you have to go to the library everyday over break to use the computer.
And it's really cold in the library.
And you're allergic to the new acne cream you were using so your face is swollen and bright red and insanely itchy.
That's my life right now.
But that's okay cause all my friends are coming back to campus tomorrow and I'm way excited.
And I'll be 18 in 17 days.
And I get to go home in 3 weeks.
And I'm almost done with that stupid research paper.
And I might have my computer back by Friday. So exciting.
So I've taken this opportunity, while being computerless to finally finish the Lord of The Rings trilogy. I have about 3 chapters left and I swear the last book is my favorite. I've decided that when I come home for Christmas I will have to have a LoTR marathon again.
A week from today is December (:
Way exciting...except I really need to find time to go Christmas shopping..and I live in the middle of nowhere so I also need to find a place to do it..or I might get stuck doing it all very last minute. Which is honestly more likely what is going to happen, even though I really hate doing that. Oh well.
I'm so ready to go home though..

Thoughts...

1. I have this really annoying super loud cough from being sick the past couple of days and it's really awkward when you're sitting in a silent class then you just cough really loud and sickly sounding and it disrupts the whole class...so fun.

2. I hate homework. Especially when it includes reading ancient Greek and Latin texts. Wah.

3. Midterms are over (:

4. I so wish I was going home for Thanksgiving (is that a proper noun?) I feel like everyone else is and I'm just gonna be on campus all alone that weekend.

5. Eating frosting right out of the can makes any day better. Especially when it's cream cheese frosting.

6. I love my roommate Autum. She's my favorite.

7. I NEVER want to be a business major.

8. Fall is so pretty in Virginia...ahhh mountains (:

9. There's a Halloween dance this weekend.

10. My hair is growing back. I'm excited (: I miss my long hair sooooo much. Though my hair is kinda at that weird length at my shoulders where is always curls against my shoulder no matter what I do.

11. I really should be doing homework right now...oh well.

12. Taylor Swift's new album. 'nuff said.

uhhhh...yeahh I have 5 news articles to summarize and 3 essays to write and 2 books to read...so I should probably get to that..

Meh.

Library.

I'm here sitting in the library waiting for my partner to show up and I'm bored. Meh. Our project is on Ancient Greek music though, so that's exciting. But being sick and having girls behind me that won't stop giggling are making it hard for me to do any actual work so I'm making it look like I'm studiously doing homework by blogging. 

I have no life at all. I spend my entire days here doing homework or reading The Hunger Games. Which I am addicted to...thanks to my roommate, Autum. Those books are amazing. No lie. Only thing is, now it's even harder to do homework 'cause I keep wanting to read them. 

I think it's so funny how people actually go to the library to take naps here. It makes me giggle. 

But..I have flute soon...Adios. 

P.S. I'm taking Spanish and I can almost hold a full conversation. Its wicked exciting.

P.P.S. I'm annoyed 'cause after so many years of trying NOT to have a Boston accent It's hard to start talking like that again so I can be cool and have an accent now...

Good Views

So as I'm sitting in my dorm at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon, doing laundry after already finishing all my homework on Friday night 'cause I'm just THAT cool I figured I might as well blog..which as it turns out I'm not very good at. (Epic run-on sentence.)

It's weird here, I'm not used to mountains, or the Mormons everywhere, or this many friendly people in one place, and especially not the fake clock tower on top of main hall that plays hymns every hour. My classes aren't very difficult and I'm keeping up with my homework well, so that's good. My roommates are wonderful, sweet, caring, amazing people. Though I should probably make more friends so I don't end up spending every Friday night in my dorm doing homework. Blah. But this campus is beautiful and oh my gosh look at that sunset.

I mean seriously, you just can't beat that. (BTW that picture was taken from my room...we have an amazing view from our window. No wonder they call it Buena Vista) 

Back to School

Well...a new school, but bear with me. I'm all moved in now. Not exactly sure how I feel about that yet. As of right now I've only met one of my roommates and she seems nice, though I haven't really talked to her much. But I've moved all my stuff in and my room looks wonderful, see? (:

This is weird. There's a lot of stuff that I have no idea how to do and I don't even know where most things are...I'm going to have to figure it out all on my own. GAH. 

I'm really not used to how much nothing there is around here, I've always lived in the city so moving 12 hours away in the middle of nowhere is just weird..I mean you have to drive at least 10 minutes to get to the nearest Walmart. That's unheard of. Haha. But there's a little social tonight and tomorrow starts orientation...sooo, this will be fun.

So Much Awkward....

I know, I know...I suck at blogging. But I'm going to get back into it since I'm going off to college in 5 days so people can know what I'm up to. If they care that is. Anyway...I'm leaving for college in 5 days. That's crazy. I haven't packed anything yet, and my room is a mess, and my brain is a mess. There's just so much to fit into 5 short days. But I'm still excited (: I'm going to miss everyone here. Especially all the comforts of living at home and having people to take care of you. I mean, I'm excited to have more independence, but who really wants mom to stop doing their laundry and cooking for them. No one. I rest my case. Oh, and most of all i think I'm going to miss my mattress. It one of those wonderful microfiber pillow top mattresses and I'm in love with it. If I could take it with me I totally would. It's just the best ever.

I did get my license recently and for one of my first trips by myself I took myself to the beach. And I've never realized before how wonderful it is to sit on the beach by yourself with no one around to bother you and just relax while reading a book or magazine or what have you. It's quite wonderful. At least until you realize how many fat, hairy old men seem to like doing the same thing, shirtless...

I've also had the opportunity lately to spend some time with the cutest little puppy in the world and don't just take my word for it, see for yourself

Isn't he just precious? His name is Twix and he is 6 months old and weighs about 3lbs. He's perfect. And that person he's sitting on awkwardly there, that's the boyfriend. Not the dog's boyfriend, mine...um anyway. Yeah it's his puppy. (:

I don't really have anything else really exciting to share...gosh, I really don't do much...or at least remember much of what I do..which is why I should do this more often...I will. Maybe...hopefully. I want to at least...it's the thought that counts, right?

Bleh, sorry for the amount of awkwardness in this post..there's quite a lot...yeahhhhh.

Woah..

Okay..so they changed the set up for new posts on this. It's confusing..but okay, A LOT has happened since before Christmas. I'm so bad at blogging, it's quite sad really.

I am going to Southern Virginia University. So exciting!! Plus there's only 20 days of school left. Of course I have a million things to do before that day. With AP and IB testing and senior projects and figuring out college stuff and everything I still have to do for church callings and finishing personal progress before I leave for college and such. Life's a bit stressful right now. But I'm taking it all in stride.

ALSO...there's 21 days until senior prom too. That's way exciting!! I didn't go to my Junior prom so going this year is going to be a whole new experience. I have a beautiful prom dress that I only paid $50 for and all of my jewelry. I'm going to get my hair all done up nice and get my nails done and GAH..I'm being such a girl, but it's not very often I get to dress up so I like to take full advantage of it when I get the chance.

But I now have to finish an astronomy project and plan a gospel doctrine lesson and find directions on how to be a clown (don't ask...).
